Darthular Garrison "Doll" Moore was born on November 1, 1911, in Limestone County to Richard Garrison Sr. and Mattie Garrett Garrison. She is the only surviving sibling of 10 children. Her brothers were Isaiah, Tommy Rob, Richard Jr., William Porter and George Washington. Her sisters were Susie, Mary Alice, Mamie and Sallie. Doll married and moved away from Limestone County, living in Kentucky and Ohio for half a century before returning back to Athens after the death of her husband, Anderson Moore. She reconnected with New Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church in Tanner, where Larry R. Lockett is pastor. Doll has no children, therefore she is loved and cared for by an excellent staff at Athens Health and Rehabilitation, LLC, and family. Blender Shoulders, her great-nephew and better known to her as "BIMP," submitted this tribute.
